A Message From Our Valedictorian Business Partner: Residential Properties, Ltd.

Please provide a brief description of your business and your role there:

I am Broker Manager of the Barrington and Westport offices of Residential Properties Ltd., a woman-owned, family-run real estate company leading the market in Barrington for more than 40 years. I focus on why people want to live in Barrington, and part of the reason is because of the excellent schools. 

Why did you and Residential Properties choose to invest in BEF? 

It was a pay it forward situation. People want to live in Barrington because of the excellent school system and, through donating to BEF, it allowed us to uphold this standard. 

How did you come to learn about BEF? 

Community involvement. My colleague Anna Clancy served on the BEF Board of Directors as Co-President and she helped bring BEF to Residential Properties. 

How do you see BEF fulfilling its mission to champion extraordinary educational opportunities within Barrington Public Schools? 

BEF is always doing amazing projects with technology; they had a 3D printer before I even knew what a 3D printer was! This past year alone, their Drones for Drone Education Curriculum, Bird Buddy Nature Camera, and podcast studio equipment all helped bring cutting-edge educational opportunities to children in our public schools. When BEF sees a void in the Barrington school system, they quickly work to fill it. 

What would you say to other commercial entities to encourage BEF engagement? 

It’s a wonderful way to support the town of Barrington and is a real benefit to the school community. I have seen how positively it has impacted our town by providing support, technology, and opportunities that help our students and families flourish. 

What would you like to see BEF do in the next 25 years? 

I would like to see them continue what they’re doing; growing and adding to the education system. The board has been incredibly innovative and thoughtful in the grants and projects they champion. I cannot say enough about the work they have done and look forward to seeing how they adapt with changing times to help students excel.
